It’s the little things that matter . . . A cherished recipe passed on from your grandmother, watching your child experiment with finger paint for the first time, a special dessert your family begs you to make over and over, or making time to squish play dough with your toddler.

No-Mess Collage

No need to deal with scissors and glue.  Tearing paper is a good alternative to using scissors and glue sticks are very handy.

You can also use a piece of contact paper (clear), about 12 inches long, for collages.  Tape down the corners to a table and peel off the back so the sticky side is up.  Let the children arrange tidbits on the paper leaving a bare 1 inch border.  Cover the finished collage with another matching piece of contact paper.

Collage materials could be: fabric scraps, tissue paper pieces, magazine pictures, confetti, string, glitter, torn colored paper, dry pasta, stickers, small pom-poms, pieces of foil, etc.

Also, tissue paper pieces in between clear contact paper make great sun catchers!
