Homemade Puzzles

Homemade Puzzles can be made from enlarging family photos or other familiar pictures from magazines, torn up picture books or cereal boxes. Print them on heavy paper and attach them to cardboard.  Cut them into 12 pieces (fewer pieces for younger children, more pieces for older children). Show the child a picture of what the completed puzzle will look like and then ask him or her to help you arrange the pieces to form the picture.
