It’s the little things that matter . . . A cherished recipe passed on from your grandmother, watching your child experiment with finger paint for the first time, a special dessert your family begs you to make over and over, or making time to squish play dough with your toddler.

Fall & Thanksgiving Art

Pumpkin Pies: Make a variety of circles on orange construction paper, let the children cut them out. I then let them "paint" glue on it and sprinkle pumpkin pie spice. If you cannot find pumpkin pie spice, you can pre-mix nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon. This smells wonderful.

Cookie Cutter Prints:
Have the children dip them into fall colored paint and press them onto paper to create wonderful prints!  You can also do this on butcher paper to create a neat tablecloth for the Thanksgiving dinner table.

Corn Cob Painting: Take thoroughly cleaned and dried corn cobs and dip them into different fall colored paints. Let the children roll the corn cobs over white paper to make a very special print.

Pumpkin Seed Art:
Create a work of art from pumpkin seeds. Arrange them in patterns or images like leaves, pumpkins, turkeys or black cats.

Foiled Leaves: Using a table, place leaves under pieces of aluminum foil and gently press and rub the foil with your hand to get a leaf print. Glue the foil leaves to construction paper.
