About Our Guest

I started my coaching practice as a way of combining my passion for motherhood, families, and helping others. My work is dedicated to supporting other parents through their personal challenges, helping them live a happy and fulfilling life.
I have been married to my husband for eleven years, and we have seven children, ages 10 and younger. We enjoy many family activities including cooking, hiking, and bike riding; and educational activities such as visiting museums and volunteering.
Life is busy, but I believe I have achieved a healthy balance among work, family and self. I know that it’s possible to get beyond survival and really thrive, and I want to help others share that blessing!

Favorite Quotes from Natalee . . .
You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back. ~William D. Tammeus
It's not only children who grow. Parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can't tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it, myself. ~Joyce Maynard
The quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention is to sit down and look comfortable. ~Lane Olinghouse
My mom used to say it doesn't matter how many kids you have... because one kid'll take up 100% of your time so more kids can't possibly take up more than 100% of your time. ~Karen Brown
If you want your children to improve, let them overhear the nice things you say about them to others. ~Haim Ginott

Vicky and Jen Ask . . .
What is your
best tip for an easy & healthy dinner for your large family of nine?
Let the kids make breakfast for dinner. My kids love to fry eggs and make toast for dinner. Top if off with fruit and it’s a treat for them and no guilt for you! If your kids are small, you’ll have to make it for them, but it IS simple, and eggs are one of the most wholesome foods we can eat. No kidding!
How do you keep your house clean & organized?
Don’t put anything off until you have time for a whole project. Seize every moment to do one small thing and two things happen: you get inspired to finish, and you keep the work from building up to overwhelming amounts. Also, let your children help even when they’re too little to actually be of aid, and always make it a happy, sharing occasion. They will grow up to be extremely capable, and they will complain less about doing it because they will associate the working with a smiling face.

“Coaching is for people who do not want to just get by, going through the motions of life. Coaching is for people who want to create their ideal lives, through one change at a time, exactly as they envision it.” - Natalee

Jen's Sample Coaching Session
Well, I did it! Not that my life is together, but I had no idea what to talk about. Then I spoke with Natalee ... I couldn't choose among the many! Natalee is so easy to talk to, it just kinda happens - you start talking about something in your life you would like to improve.
My dreaded morning routine of getting my girls, 4 and 2, dressed became the topic of choice. It has been a battle lately and not one that I want to fight, unless I can win every time, of course! Natalee did not tell me how to "fix" my mornings, just guided me to my own thoughts on the "problem". Together, we came up with some action plans, which have been extremely helpful. I think it has something to do with the fact that your Coach is someone outside of your normal circle. It was much more comfortable that I anticipated.
If you can take the time and money for a manicure or massage, splurge on a coaching session just once, and you will gain a lot more than painted nails. - Jen
