"Whatever is in the Fridge" Wraps

Source: Vicky's Kitchen

Why I Like It: Flour tortillas are a staple in my fridge. They are great for using leftovers in a different way and they make quick lunches. It’s fun and easy to turn anything into a wrap! You don’t need much more than a microwave oven and a little creativity.

Possible Main Ingredients:

Left over chicken breast, pork, or beef
Frozen breaded chicken tenders
Veggie burgers
Lunch meat, any kind
Tuna or chicken salad
Refried beans
Peanut Butter
Scrambled eggs
Bacon

(I once made a meatloaf wrap!)

Good Stuff to Add:

Shredded cheese, any kind
Fruit (diced Granny Smith apples are great with turkey, red grapes or golden raisins with chicken salad, bananas with peanut butter and pineapples with grilled chicken)
Fresh spinach, lettuce, alfalfa sprouts
Nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds)
Carrots, shredded
Tomatoes
Sesame Seeds
Fresh vegetables (bell pepper strips, diced green onions, banana peppers, olives, pickles)

Yummy Spreads:

Salad dressing (Thousand Island, Ranch, Poppyseed, Creamy Italian, French are good choices!)
Peanut Sauce (from your International food aisle)
Light red wine vinegar mixed with olive oil (yummy on lunch meat wraps)
Cream cheese
Buffalo-style sauce
Marinara Sauce
Salsa

Directions:
Warm tortilla according to package directions. Fill Creatively. Fold. And sometimes reheat. Aidan likes his rolled up tight and sliced into “baby sandwiches”.

Our Family Favorites:
Vicky likes turkey, sliced Granny Smith apples, lettuce, tomatoes, creamy poppy seed dressing, banana peppers and red onions.

Aidan likes salami, cheddar cheese and ranch dressing.

Doug likes rice, grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, crushed red peppers and salsa.
